The HyperX Alloy FPS is an excellent keyboard. It is small in size without having to compromise on the functionality and the build quality, something that I like, since the keyboard fits in almost every setup. Also you get the detachable cable, which can be very easily removed or replaced, if that is something that you want to do. Speaking about removing cables, the HyperX Alloy FPS also comes with a carrying pouch, that you can place your keyboard and cable in, to carry it with you. Pricing is also very good for a mechanical keyboard. Here in Greece it can be found from €109, also over on geizhals.eu you can find it with a starting price of €104. Keep in mind that prices vary though, and depending on where you live you might be able to get the HyperX Alloy FPS at a different price. The HyperX Alloy FPS is available with three different types of Cherry MX switches Red/Brown and Blue, the Blue ones are the noisiest ones. You have the option to select the
ones that best suit your needs. There is also a USB port that can be used for charging, and this was my only complaint about the HyperX Alloy FPS, I would
like to have seen a USB3 port so that we could have easier access and also the benefits of USB3. I do hope that we will see that soon. The multimedia keys worked as expected, and also welcomed is the LED indicator that displays when the Game mode is on. The brightness of the red LED was very good, there are several
options that you can choose from to switch on various lighting effects, but I am sure that most of us will probably only use one mode. The HyperX Alloy FPS
also includes RED textured keycaps, for FPS players, and also the keyboard does not require any software to be installed to be able take full advantage
of its features.
Overall the HyperX Alloy FPS gets the “Excellent” rating and also the “Editor’s Choice” award.
