Pokémon GO - Learn How to Play Without Moving

Pokemon Go, the popular game from Niantic, made its players get out and find their pokemons outside.

Given the current situation, you might wonder how you can still play while adhering to social distancing guidelines. Luckily, there is the possibility of playing from your car or from home without involving other people in your game.

Niantic is adding new features that will make the game as much fun from home as it was in public.

FEATURES of the Game

Niantic has brought quite a few changes to Pokemon Go to keep its players active. Live events have been canceled or postponed, one of them being Safari Zones, while Community Day, A Drive to Investigate and other such similar events have been reshaped to single-person indoor play. However, Research Tasks has been removed, being a field research feature that couldn’t be switched to a solo or home mode.

The increased daily bonus has been changed to offering 3x EXP and 3x Stardust for the first caught pokemon of the day, and the shop brings in a new PokéCoin bundle every week. Players now have the ability to open 30 Gifts every day. They will collect more PokeBalls every time they open a Gift, and they can hold up to 20 Gifts at once.

Players no longer need to walk around in order to receive Go Battle League sets while playing Go Battle League. The number of pokemon spawns found roaming free has been increased, so players can find more of them from the safety of their home. Incense, the item that attracts pokemons, now lasts for an entire hour

The number of proximity players that have to connect with Gyms and PokeStops has doubled. Last but not least, Pokemon Go players can now purchase Remote Raid Battle Passes that allow them to join any Raid located anywhere on the map. A Raid allows 10 players to join remotely.

Pokemon Go is a free game, but it benefits from in-game purchases like any other game.

How To Play/Download

Pokemon Go is a game that needs you to move to be able to find and catch Pokemon, as well as find and go to Pokestops. A lot of players absolutely love this game, but sometimes, they just don’t want to get out of their homes. Especially now, with the new social distancing rules, even a simple walk to the mall or a park is not as accessible as before.

With the new and improved Pokemon Go, you can play from home and still be good at it. Just download the Pokemon Go app on your Android or iOS device. Run your Pokemon Go app, plug your phone up so it doesn’t use up your battery, and allow it to run for as long as you can.

If you don’t want to or just can’t keep the app running, you can use Adventure Sync. For now, Adventure Sync just keeps track of movements and distance, but they’ve announced an update that will offer Pokemon Go credit for indoor activities, such as working out or doing home chores.

Adventure Sync can be used with Apple Health and Google Fit fitness apps

Apple Health

  1. Go to Apple Health app
  2. Go to your profile image (right corner)
  3. Go to Privacy, then select Apps
  4. List Pokemon Go as a connected app

Before Adventure Sync came along, players had a similar option of using an Apple Watch and connecting Pokemon Go to it. That is now unavailable, but Apple Watch can be used to sync with Apple Health, so there’s still some good use to it.

Google Fit

For Android users, here’s how to set up Google Fit.

  1. Go to Google Fit app
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Select the Manage Connected Applications tab
  4. List Pokemon Go as a connected app

These are Pokemon Go’s new methods to keep its members active. After reading this, you will be able to catch a lot more Pokemon or capture them in a trap without having to go anywhere.

Niantic has proven to be very caring with its clients and has gone over the edge to try and keep them both entertained and safe.
